Good Evening.

I have a 2000 W Galaxy 1.9TDI Zetec/The wipers have stopped working, the rear one still works and the washers are still going.I checked the fuse,it looks okay except the panel looks like the Star Ship Enterprise.

Has anyone experience of the cause of the problem and the possible remedy.

Good evening

sounds like they are seized :( you need to grease the pivots and the wiper assembly. I removed all of the linkages and motor to do mine also i cleaned drain scuttles and replaced pollen filters. Have a look in the FAQ i think Nik has a do it there :D

Mine have started to play up too.

Gave the screen a wash & they got stuck half way then waited for about 30 secs. Put them on wipe & they were very juddery & got stuck again before returning to rest. Could mine be the control unit????

Hey you guys have a look in the FAQ section of the Technical and you will find out how to get rid of juddery wipers, Mumof 4 has done a good session of this and it should help you to solve the problem.

Go get em wiping before it rains again.

Spindles stripped yesterday, drivers side not too bad but passenger side totally seized & has broken off . My friend reckons once un-seized he can cold weld it back. If not will require new unit. Anyway he has left me with a working drivers side for now.

Where can I source a replacement if can't be repaired pref new if poss.
